Stakeholders in Blockchain Association of Nigeria (SiBAN), has announced that it will hold its inaugural Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Conference on the 6th of August, 2022 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
With the theme, CeFi, DeFi & TradFi: Is There A Need For Convergence In The Current Divergence, the program is intended to:
- educate users and members of the public about blockchain technology,
- promote its adoption by both private and public bodies,
- ensure consumer protection and help them safeguard against scams,
- work with regulators to help maximize the untapped potential of blockchain technology.
According to Senator Ihenyen, SiBAN’s president, this conference will be an open conversation about the emergence of blockchain technology, its application across the spectrum of CeFi, DeFi, and TradFi, and whether a convergence of these three is the better way to go for both innovators and regulators.
Jude Ozinegbe, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the conference, said the target is to host 5000 participants including players, policymakers, and the public.
Also, “the conference will provide participants with networking opportunities while serving as a vehicle to drive awareness of the economic value of what we do.” Ozinegbe revealed.
“Participants will enjoy access to conference talks, workshops, and other learning opportunities and get to network with speakers, guests, and other conference participants,” he added.
Sounds amazing, right? Thank goodness the P2P Conference 2022 is free and open to all to attend.
However, registration is compulsory and can be done at www.siban.org.ng/p2p-register.
Also, it is going to be a hybrid event so, you can stream the event live if you can’t make it physically.
That said, you want to follow SiBAN on Twitter (@OfficialSiban) to stay updated.
